In those crucial moments, the figure of Marinus van der Lubbe was emblematic was the cutoff point between those who wished to keep alive the struggle for proletarian communist revolution and who ever slipped on the slope of compromise with the bourgeoisie, democratic or fascist.
Only a few voices were raised in defense of Marinus van der Lubbe: The Dutch left communists, anarchists and some meager radicalized. But the Communist Left 'Italian', which sustained little-known positions, although they were based on a flurry of conclusive arguments.
The book offers articles appeared in 'Prometheus', the Left Fraction of the fortnightly Communist Party of Italy, published in France and Belgium since 1928 1937. The articles, following the step by step the events of procedure, provide a careful analytical exposition of the events and refute the legal system, What a dreadful van der Lubbe. On the theoretical and political, the theme is the relationship between individual violence and the violence of "mass", which reached its decisive test in front of the Reichstag fire. The attitude assumed by the German Communist Party (and in general by the Comintern) marked the culmination of a dish full of criminals that skidding of succumbing to collapse, disarmed the working class and favored the Nazi triumph. In Appendix
, pulling the strings of those events the rate of Dino Grass: The Resistible Rise of Adolf Hitler . Followed by the article "Prometheus": The situation in Germany. Terrorism and mass action of 31 July 1932, showing the location of the Communist Left "Italian" on the fight against fascism, in the circumstances that preceded the election victory of Hitler.
in the bibliography, all items of the 'Prometheus' and 'Bilan' on Germany, the decline of Weimar and the rise of Nazism statement.
